Rajitha is the Managing Director and CEO of W.R Rodrigo & Co., one of the strongest and oldest professional services organizations in Sri Lanka that is founded by his enthusiastic father Mr. Ranjith Rodrigo more than three decades ago. Having an entrepreneurial spirit within himself, Rajitha always believed that industries evolve and new knowledge and new practices breed in. Therefore, prior to being joined to his father’s organization, he served as a manager in EY Sri Lanka and EY Singapore, which has given him the tremendous industry exposure, practices, knowledge, and expertise to elevate Sri Lankan small and medium enterprises.
Working across different geographies, verticals, and communities of EY, he had gained nearly a decade of experience in assurance and advisory services. He refined and crafted his skills in serving clients across various sectors in manufacturing, insurance, logistics, power and energy, health care, and pharmaceuticals.
Rajitha being a knowledge pursuer, currently perform as the Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK and member of Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia.
He believes in this transformative age of industrial evolution, Sri Lankan industries, organizations-small, medium & large need to manage the advancement of their organizational culture and response to PESTEL (Political, Economical, Social, technological, Environmental & Legal) in more effective and efficient ways by letting technology and innovation be the spark for change. Keeping that motif in mind, he joined W.R. Rodrigo & Co., as the most strong-willed Managing director / CEO to push Sri Lankan SME’s and economy to another level.
With over a decade of professional experience, Rajitha has provided audit and business advisory services to both state-owned and private enterprises, exclusively in Sri Lanka. He has been involved in a number of projects such as financing, corporate restructuring, merger and acquisition transactions, audit, and taxation. Today, he is well equipped to drive his father’s initiative to the next level through expanding the service offerings of W.R Rodrigo & Co., beyond tax consultancy, to meet various challenging and progressing client needs. Charity enthusiasts never stop.
Currently, Rajitha serves as the Deputy Cabinet Treasurer for the Lionistic Year 2020/21 of District 306 B1 of Lions Club International-the largest charity organization, to help communes in need. He believes various activities in life motivate him to explore more avenues to help, enrich Sri Lankan communities.
